For some time now I have been getting a number of parts for the assembly of a X Quadcopter. Following the OOZ Labs tutorial i was gathering all the parts.

The base of the quadcopter. This is the structure that all the components are assembled. There are in multiple sizes and materials. Mine is in glass fiber. There are, also, in carbon fiber.
There are, also, in several sizes and powers. Is important to be a brushless motor, because this type of motors doesn’t have brushes inside, allowing less wear and lower electromagnetic interference. The more power the engine has, greater is his lift capacity and maneuverability but the power consumption is also greater , decreasing fly time
Electronic Speed Control, is the device that controls the motor rotation speed. The models that i use allow to control 4 motors with only one ESC, but there are models to control only one motor. The advantage of this model is a lower cost. The disadvantage is, if one internal controller fails, all the device needs to be replaced.
Controls the quadcopter. Received the signal from the radio and from its internal sensors and sets each motor rotation speed. This board as an gyroscope, to identify the movement direction, a magnetic compass, to orientation, and a barometer, to read the altitude. Allows to connect a GPS sensor and a bluetooth module to transmit telemetry to the operator. It can receive six channels from the radio and controls till six motors and a gimbal (device where the camera is installed that compensates the quadcopter balance).
it’s necessary to take attention to the rotation direction of the propellers. In this case are needed two propellers counterclockwise and two clockwise.
The battery used is a 11.1V, 3 Cells and 2200mAh. There are several models. It’s necessary to compare the QBrain power specifications to choose the battery. In this case the QBrain can receive 3 cells and 4 cells battery.
Lipoly Low Voltage Alarm
When we are flying and the battery end’s, the only way is down. This allows to identify a low charge battery and land the quadcopter before it finishes.
Chargers the battery. It’s necessary to see the battery specifications and check is the charger is compatible.
Radio & receiver
Controls the quadcopter. The minimum channel number to fly are four: throttle, pitch, yaw e roll. If the radio has extra channels, it can be programmed other functions. My radio has six channels.
Thermo Retractable Sleeve
Is a rubber tube that shrinks with the heat. Allows to isolate the QBrain and motors to avoid short circuits.
Plug to connect the QBrain to the battery
The QBrain doesn’t has plug to connect the battery because there are several types of battery plug. This battery uses a XT60 plug.
Bullets for the connections
the motors doesn’t bring plugs to connect to the ESC because the same reason mentioned before. For this QBrain are needed 3.5mm plugs
FTDI cable to program the flightboard
Allows to connect the flightboard to the computer through an USB connection to be programmed.
The Lipo batteries need some care to not explode, burn, spill, etc. If this type of battery catch fire, it’s impossible to stop.This bag is a fire retardant that allows to transport the battery to a safe place (for example a fire place)
With the vibrations, the screws tend to become loose. The Thread Lock it’s a liquid that fixes the screws in place. There are several versions, being the most common the blue and the red. For this case we are using the blue because the red creates a permanent lock.
